Love the Snow!

We went up to Boise my Dad's 60th birthday, and it was so much fun! Hopefully I will put several posts up about our amazing trip! First off, my dad, Matt, Michelle, and I went up to Bogus Basin for some spring night skiing (for Dad and Michelle) and boarding (for me and Matt). My mom was so nice to keep Neal at home for me! It isn't often I get to go snowboarding twice in one year, but we went at Christmastime as well as this time. It was so nice to go relatively close together, because the second time, I was so much more comfortable on the board., although still very slow. Matt and Dad were so nice to hang back with me :) I just love being outside, and it was beautiful! This is all of us inside when we were done.

Michell wouldn't get up for a picture with me because she was burying her arm . . . hmmm.

Me and Matt . . . I still can't believe he's 16 and taller than me . . .

Rebekah said...: so fun! I am so jealous because i haven't been skiing since 8th grade i think! these are the cutest pictures...and that made me laugh about michelle, but seriously, why was she burying her arm?

About us

We just moved back to Utah after 4 amazing years in North Carolina. We miss it like crazy, especially all of our incredible friends who we feel so blessed to have had in our lives, and hope to continue to have in our lives, even if it is long distance!

Jonathan is working for a medical software company, using his M.D. in a nontraditional way that he loves! He also started a part-time Masters in Biomedical Informatics. Other than the fact that he carries a student ID for the University of Utah, we are grateful for this opportunity for him to further specialize his knowledge . . . and besides that, school is just too much fun to give up :)

Elizabeth is staying home with our 2 beautiful children. She still loves to do hair and waxing out of our house.

Neal is 3 and the sweetest child in the world! Although he changes into a different child when he is tired, he is such a true joy to be around. He inspires me with how hard he works to do the right thing when he's been corrected. He wants to be good and make us happy and proud. He also works so hard at learning to do things that he struggles with, and often repeats something his father taught him: "It's ok, we just try again!"

Kensington is about a year and a half old and is just amazing me with how she is learning and changing! Her personality is just exploding, and she LOVES to dance! Anytime she hears music, she dances - even the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Oh, how she brings joy to my heart! She has a feisty side to her that she has always had, but for the most part is a chill, independent, confident girl!

We are learning, growing, and working towards complete unity in our marriage, our family, our Heavenly Father, and our Savior, Jesus Christ. We seek after the ideal, this is where we find our joy! It is as Elizabeth's mother says: "Making mistakes, but never giving up."
