39 Weeks and 1 Day :)

Although it is not even 8:15 pm, I am all ready for bed and going to sleep as soon as I write this! I decided that although there are things I want to do - such as finish the crib bedding I'm making - my top priority right now should be sleep. So after a couple of late nights, we're going to bed super early to try to catch up! Since I have neglected to post any other pregnancy pictures of me, I had Jon take this one after church today so you can see how the baby (and I!) am growing! Baby girl should be here any day . . . but I am happy to wait!

Rachel - I actually measured smaller with Neal (usually one week small or right on) and have been measuring a week ahead with her most of the time, but I am weighing 20 lbs. less than I did when I delivered Neal (so far - we'll see how much time I have to put more weight on!) but I haven't had the swelling this time which makes a huge difference, although probably not in my stomach :) I don't know what the deal is there, but even Jon says my stomach is smaller this time!; April 26, 2010 at 10:52 AM

About us

We just moved back to Utah after 4 amazing years in North Carolina. We miss it like crazy, especially all of our incredible friends who we feel so blessed to have had in our lives, and hope to continue to have in our lives, even if it is long distance!

Jonathan is working for a medical software company, using his M.D. in a nontraditional way that he loves! He also started a part-time Masters in Biomedical Informatics. Other than the fact that he carries a student ID for the University of Utah, we are grateful for this opportunity for him to further specialize his knowledge . . . and besides that, school is just too much fun to give up :)

Elizabeth is staying home with our 2 beautiful children. She still loves to do hair and waxing out of our house.

Neal is 3 and the sweetest child in the world! Although he changes into a different child when he is tired, he is such a true joy to be around. He inspires me with how hard he works to do the right thing when he's been corrected. He wants to be good and make us happy and proud. He also works so hard at learning to do things that he struggles with, and often repeats something his father taught him: "It's ok, we just try again!"

Kensington is about a year and a half old and is just amazing me with how she is learning and changing! Her personality is just exploding, and she LOVES to dance! Anytime she hears music, she dances - even the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Oh, how she brings joy to my heart! She has a feisty side to her that she has always had, but for the most part is a chill, independent, confident girl!

We are learning, growing, and working towards complete unity in our marriage, our family, our Heavenly Father, and our Savior, Jesus Christ. We seek after the ideal, this is where we find our joy! It is as Elizabeth's mother says: "Making mistakes, but never giving up."
